Macbeth in Manhattan
1999: Greg Lombardo
A curious and not altogether successful story about the production of Macbeth by a Manhattan theater company. Along the way a certain number of scenes are dramatically played out, though none of them in any very astonishing ways. The story of the characters to some extent follows the inner story of Macbeth; there is some discussion about the legendary Macbeth curse, and the plot is driven by jealousy, deceit, and ultimately murder. Rated R for language and sexual situations; not probably suitable for younger students.
