Men of Respect
1991: William Riley
A fairly obvious gangland knockoff of Macbeth. It’s entertaining to watch at a certain shallow level, and the acting forces are not particularly bad, but it neither brings any real new insights to the play nor adds anything like humor to the mix — certainly nothing as funny as Scotland, PA. It does not use Shakespeare’s language, but has its own R-rated script. Definitely not for family viewing.
